This collection brings together images and records related to the maintenance and preservation of cultural heritage, traditions, and identities, as well as the documentation of historic structures and sites in the United States and beyond. Postcards illuminate in vivid color the history of historic buildings and places. Community archives materials created and accumulated by local communities and groups document and provide insight into shared cultural heritage and identity via music, sport, social gatherings, and events, among other facets that bring individuals together.
